I'll say that they were polite, but trying to sell me work that wasn't necessary yet and recommending I replace brand new parts to the tune of 2700 dollars was a bit much.

Sorry you didn't like the diagnose Robert. Your truck needs more repair than you probably thought it did. The one part you replaced still will not fix the problem. Your steering system has multiple parts which does not make it fixed. More like a band-aid fix. Obviously if one part was worn it makes sense that other issues may be underlying. Ball joints are worn. How is that an up-sell? Steering repairs I take very very serious due to have seen vehicles cause accidents or injuring other motorists. I would rather be safe doing the repairs and not worry about costs. This repair is not uncommon for your truck and being it is a heavy truck (FORD F250), quality parts do cost more. Sorry your truck is more than you can afford. Sounds like you have no money to maintain it. Truth.

Tried to charge me $1300 for something another shop fixed for $65..... Charged me for a service we did not discuss. Would not release my car untill it was paid... I was not going to leave a review as he decided no one discussing the cost of the services "was a miscommunication". Though I did stop by and tell them I couldn't afford to the alignment that day. Instead educating me of the cost of there services and allowing me to pick up my vehicle before they serviced my vehicle. They charged me for what I believe is an inspection..... On top of that Told me it would take $1300 in suspension work... However, I took my car somewhere for a second opinion yes the shop was certified. They educated me the car was fine. I even explained my concern for safety. Provides the estimate that Kevin to provided. To prove Kevin's shop was lying and tried to take advantage. They did the work for free. Told me to take my car to get it tested. If I pass emmions afterwards to come back and pay.... My car passed... I almost took out an auto loan because they told me my car was no good.... Edit Thank you Kevin for your response however 1. Your service manager tried to completely deny speaking with me until I asked you to look at the camera. 1b. If I come in and tell you I have no money to pay for anything ( lost card). BEFORE your shop even moved my car from the handicap spot. A great response would have been to educate me on the cost of your inspection. As I still had time to avoid a fee. Instead your service manager told me not to work about anything you guys would take care of it. The shop right next door was able to provide a free inspection after letting them know I just bought the car 2. I don't drive for Lyft. Drive food delivery. I educated you I needed to get the car emmions tested but they told me I need to get it aligned. I wasn't sure if the alignment could be done, as the previous owner was in an accident. That is what we discussed 3. We did not discuss pricing. Before I left you admitted we never discussed price. I still don't know the cost if the alignment and the estimate and receipt doesn't even show it. Not only that but you chastised me, stating that I should always find out when working with a shop as most shops charge a fee. 4. The 1 star review is because I received a 1 star experience. After seeing your shop I was afraid to drive my vehicle. The next shop went out of the way to make sure I was comfortable and understood what I need. And they had me in and out in about an hour and a half. It comparison they provided a 5 star service. I can agree that through the ordeal everyone. Was very "polite and professional"

Onna, I am responding to your review and we are sorry you feel lied too. I gave you the estimate based upon what the car needs to be safe. Everything on the quote is correct. This car has been neglected for repairs and as a business owner we do not do band aid repairs. Instead of looking at the cost only of the estimate, you are missing the safety aspect. Especially when you told me that you use your vehicle for Lyft. l already discussed before you left with your car that the alignment was a certain price and that we need to check first for any damaged or worn parts from the accident you had with the car. You assumed that when you declined the repairs, the inspection would be free? We did no services or repairs as you claim without your authorization. I do not understanding your statement about the emissions testing? We never talked to you about any emissions nor did you ask.We did no services as you claim. You had claimed that my service manager told you the inspection would be free when you talked to me. He clearly advised you he never said that. If you want to discuss this further please give me a call. A one star rating for telling you your car is unsafe makes no sense to me.

Kevin has exceeded my EXPECTATIONS with his honest and forthright nature! I actually use to deliver to Kevin as a FedEx Ground driver so I was pricing around on doing a major auto overhaul replacing the following: rack and pinion, power steering pump and 2 serpentine belts for my Toyota Solara. I know from deliveries as this would be the best place for customer service, thoroughness, and excellent mechanical craftsmanship that I needed to keep my car in working order. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for a great mechanic in the auto industry. You will not find a location that doesn't provide the customer service, pride in their work and mechanical craftsmanship along with in a timely manner without breaking your bank. This is my first time to use Kevin but will be a life long customer going forward. LOOK NO FURTHER! You will not be disappointed I assure you. UPDATE: They have also taken care of our Toyota Matrix with a fuel pump. It is running better than when we purchased the vehicle originally. We keep coming back as they always take care of us. Don't hesitate as you will be very pleased I promise.

Thanks for the great review Mark, glad to have you as a customer!

I don't know very much about cars, so it's nice to have a place that I feel is not trying to upsell me and tell me false things are wrong with my car. KAS is understanding, honest, and accomodating.

Thank you for the great review, we appreciate you!

I brought my car to Kevin’s a few weeks ago because my engine overheated. The service I received was good enough, also it did end up costing double what they had originally quoted me. When I go to get into my car, I see a large dent and scratch on my driver side door. I take a picture of it and go in to talk to someone about it. I spoke with the owner, Kevin, and he was the least helpful man I ever met. We went out so I could show him the damage and hardly said anything and seemed to just be waiting for me to say it’s okay and leave. When I asked about getting it fixed he said he’d talk to a friend of his and he’ll be in touch. That’s the last time I was able to speak with Kevin. I had to call several times to try to get ahold of him because he never contacted me. Each time, an employee said he was away or unable to talk and each time I asked him to call me. He never did. Eventually, an employee told me that his friend would charge $500 to fix my door and he would be willing to pay $100 of that. That’s unacceptable. I left my car in their car and it was returned to me damaged. This is their responsibility to have to repaired. For the past week or so I’ve been continuing to call to try and speak with Kevin, and each time I’m told he’s not there and will call me back. He never does. The service I received was fine, they fixed my car and it’s running fine now. However, it is damaged and Kevin is cowering behind his employees instead of facing this situation. I’m very disappointed in this business.

Megan, I read your review and wanted to give my side of it which you provided false information. Your 2010 Mini Cooper you brought to us was overheating and you were happy with the repair. As the owner of the business I did go out with you to look at your vehicles damage you claimed. I inspected the door and you pointed out the door chips made from a car door resting on your door. You had said that the chips were not there before. I pointed out the dent by your mirror and you said it was there before and you were not really sure about any other damages. I kindly told you that we are not responsible for any damages (or theft) to customers cars which is normal operations of business. I explained all the other businesses that share the parking have experienced the same issue with their customers. I can not control these problems. I took pictures of your door damage. I told you that I would contact an business associate (friend) who owns does auto body repair and get an estimate for you. I did not call you back but had my service manager call you back with a quote of $500.00 to repair the door including fixing the dent that was there. I offered to pay $200.00 of the estimate (not $100.00 as you claimed). You told my manager when he contacted you about my offer that it was not acceptable and was not happy. Just to clear up a few more things, you have always had communications with my manager who was always there to answer your calls and questions. Not just an employee. Again he relayed the information to you for what I would offer to do. I didn't have to offer anything. We have signs on the building and printed on your receipt that states we are not responsible for damage out of our control. I am happy that we repaired your vehicle especially after finding one of the causes for it overheating caused by another repair shop previous to us. I am sorry I did not return your call personally. Due to my health circumstances ( I should not have to share with you) I stay at my residence and try to work from home. Reality is you won't accept my offer to pay almost half of what it would cost to repair and repaint your car door (including dents not caused by KAS LLC.) Then you want to personally attack my character online without some of your facts even being correct is offensive and immature. More or less you have a big personal problem. Suggest you grow up when handling business affairs with others. Please do not bring your vehicle back for anything regarding repairs. Your warranty is now void and your not privileged here. Kevin
