Last week we were driving down I-25 when the engine on our 2002 Ford Escape suddenly stopped and would not restart. We were stranded on the side of I-25 in the recent big snow (with more coming down) and freaking out about what to do. I am SO glad we called Kevin's. He was able to get us a cheap tow to his shop, and even though he couldn't look at our car until the next day, he was kind enough to let our big hairy dog stay in the waiting area inside with us for two hours while we waited on our ride to come pick us up. Kevin was able to look at our car the next day, but unfortunately the problem was a blown piston and the engine is gone and it does not make sense to replace. He has been so great and patient with us as we find out our next steps with the car. He didn't charge us for diagnosing the issue and is letting us keep our car on his VERY busy lot for the next couple of days until we can get the right scrap buyer, and even offered to take a look at our next car before we purchase. Kevin has been very helpful in this extremely stressful situation and I can't say enough good things about him. We've only been here a year and thankfully have not had to see a mechanic before this, but you can be sure that if we ever have any car issues, Kevin will be the first one we go see.
